Greetings!
I did an X-ray for my foot this Monday. Though the swell had gone down, I wanted to make sure that there were no broken bones.
To my amazement, there was a displacement and fracture of my 5th metatarsal bone. I was given a referral to CGH A & E department immediately.
After a 2-hour wait, I went for my consultation. The nurses made a plaster cast to restrict the movement of my foot. This is to ensure that my bone heals faster. I purchased a pair of crutches as well, which would be my walking aids for the next 1 week.
Issued to me was a 1-week long MC. I'm free from work.

4 more weeks to a breather!
It was busy at the laboratory as usual. Had been doing gold and nickel stripping almost everyday.
Bad news is, I sprained my right foot on Tuesday morning. It's real bad. It became swollen and there were some bruises. Went to this 推拿 specialist on Thursday but the swell didn't go down. Hence, I went to consult this 跌打 physician near the Bedok Reservoir NTUC supermarket yesterday. He applied some oil and put a wrap around the affected area. The pain is still there but it comes and goes. I'll just see how it is when I remove the wrap tomorrow morning. Hopefully the swell would have gone down significantly.
On Monday, a new temp staff came to the production office. I didn't manage to talk to her as I was really busy in the lab. I finally had the chance to chat with her on Friday. Her name was Xiu Zhen and she's a first year student at NYP. She knew at once that I am a DCP student when I mentioned that I am from SP. What she is studying is similar to my modules. We chatted for more than 30 minutes. I eventually went back to the lab as my drawing of samples was incomplete. Jennifer thought I went to regulate my bowels because I went away for so long.

5 more weeks!
Hi!
Really tired for the past few weeks ever since I started ITP. This week has been quite busy for me, compared to the first 3 weeks. Seriously. For this week, I am attached to the laboratory department. Though my main task was to perform the Hull cell test everyday, being in the lab feels more comfortable, just like being in familiar territory. Was indeed lucky that I was not posted to the etching and plating workshops, which would have been a toil on my ears.
Found 2 SP graduates working in the lab too. Jennifer and Suhaimi. Suhaimi is a Malay and yet I saw him eating Chinese food with pork! I have yet to ask him why. Jennifer graduated in 2007 but she's younger than me by around 6 months as she was a Normal Academic student.
Next week, I will be working with the engineers on the implementation of a recovery system. Wish me luck!
Last but not least, I received my results last week. All I can say is that it was fairly unexpected, yet decent.
