2 more days to New Year!

Soon, we'll be ushering in 2008. 2007 has been a fruitful year for me, with many interesting experiences. Being a civilian is definitely way better than having a military life. Two years before this day, I am still slogging like a slave and carrying out orders.

My classmates and I visited our tutor's house yesterday. We initially planned for a babiq but rain approached shortly after we started cooking. We took the food and utensils and rushed to Dr Chia's house. Our lunch was served by the maid.

We spent our time after lunch listening to Dr Chia's experiences while he was studying overseas. He had so many stories to tell and they were never ending! When he mentioned that he knew a bit of palmistry, everyone of us gathered around him and asked him to read our palms. From his divination, my life prospects seem to be good. Lines and patterns on palms changes every 5 to 10 years. I'll see how it goes. My feet have lines too. Does "feetistry" exist?

We left his house at around 1930. Took the train with Clara and alighted at Pasir Ris. Joined my cousins and sis at Downtown East chalet for my uncle's birthday celebration. He didn't even bother to make a wish before blowing out the candles! At least he managed to smile behind the cake and we took a picture of him. This was probably the first time I had celebrated his birthday.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to 2008. I will make my 2008 a very exciting one. Resolution is to stay healthy!

For honour and glory! Cheers to the New Year everyone!
